I like this! When my children were little, they had a program like this (it also did sounds). And they loved it: they would just bang on the keyboard and found it really funny when pictures and sounds came up!
I like the improved sideways motion. And using space to drop is also nicer. Good improvements.
How about sound next? (Maybe a warning tone -- beep-beep-beep- when the fuel's in the red?)
Nice work! Quite playable. (I like the number of lives being 3.0 - made me wonder whether I could have 2.75 lives...)
Good looking 'Game Over' sign that came creeping up on me.
Coming together very nicely! It's quite good to play now. (The most difficult thing, though, for me is: After I get eaten once, I often get eaten immediately again, before I have a chance to move away from the corner. I often lose all three lives in a row...)
Like the sounds!
Fair enough - but you didn't, did you?
I like it. Maybe it would be a little more challenging if the sideways motion would continue for a while after you stop pressing the side arrow buttons. That would make it a little harder to steer exactly, and add extra challenge.
This does not go to the second level for me. If I clear the first screen, it crashes.
The reason is incorrect capitalisation in the name of an image file. You image file names end with a suffix in capitals (e.g. "EndLevelOne.JPG"), but in your source code you write the suffix in lowercase ("EndLevelOne.jpg"). This works on Windows (because the Windows file system is not case sensitive) but not in other systems, such as inside applets. This is why it fails in the Gallery.
The fix: make sure your image file names in your source code EXACTLY match the names in your file system.
