You should turn this into a space invaders, where the squares that are shot out destroy enemy ships. I like it, though.

This is pretty advanced image manipulation. I don't know how you did this, but it's really good.

Green and blue seem to work for me, too. They do flash, but that might be what you want. But this has very nice effects, I like it a lot.

That's true. Only your new one has so much cleaner graphics. Oh, and scrolling. Scrolling is great.
