Kinect: The camera doesn't change its angle

Unfortunately, OpenNI, the middleware we are using, doesn't support control of the camera. So I'm afraid moving the camera is the best solution. I usually find that since you have to be a little way back from the camera anyway, putting it on a high table, or on top of the computer case on the table, usually works.

When you say the main thread sleeps, this is wasted time if the rest of the engine can't do prep work

Not sure what you mean by the 'engine', but if you're talking about the scenario itself, it can do any prep work it wants during the act cycle - either at the end or at the beginning. The thread sleeps only if all the actors have finished acting.

I don't suppose we could have a secondary thread that can be used for worker threads? Probably not required, but would be useful.

Greenfoot is meant for beginners, and multi-threading is an advanced topic. There

Today I tried the installation at school. It worked. Since we use Snow Leopard at school, it seems to be a Lion-only problem. Who can help? Horst

I agree to the sentiments posted above. The more you practice, the better you become. The more often you practice, the easier it becomes. If you're going to get the JDK you should get the latest in either Java 6 or Java 7 series. For the Java 6 series that would be this one I.e. update 30, not update 29 which the post above links to.

I checked out the asteroids scenario by dordor (downloaded it, removed a couple of music files, opened it in Greenfoot, adjusted code due to lack of music files, and ran it). The three items on the front screen are basically just buttons (not menus). In other words, each one did a specific task, without any choice by the user. A menu would require input from the user as to how to continue.

In line 17, the world greenfoot should be capitalized to 'Greenfoot'.
