I may have to withdraw from the competition. My final exams start in 2 weeks, and I need to do well to get into the university I want -- Because of this, I don't have the the time to work on the game. It's only an evening's worth of effort in so far, but it's got a decent amount of the game completed. It's annoying, because I think it would be a really good game. If anyone thinks they might want to take over working on it, just comment saying so and I'll upload it in its current state. I might go ahead and upload it anyway so you can have a look.
Okay, maybe you can enter next month or so
@Duta Which challenge were you doing before you withdrew?
Could you post it? (so i can see if it falls under any other category)
I'm really interested in seeing what it is
Will you try to finish it after your exams, even if that would be after April
Just uploaded it: http://www.greenfoot.org/scenarios/8049
There's not much there yet, but hopefully it's enough for you to understand what I want to do with it.
Depending on the amount of content I put into the game, the time limit may need to be raised to above 5 minutes..
It could fit under beginner if you make the enemies spawn randomly
Looks really good! I like it. I agree, you should finish once finals are over.
Good point Game/maniac (and it'd only be a few lines of code), but I don't think it would make sense, given the story and everything. Like I said in the descriptions, the enemies/player are just placeholder things for testing the spells.
Draymothisk, I'm going to! :) I did the entire game so far on one day, so I should certainly be able to finish the game once I've got time to think of puzzles/create the images. Honestly, the most time consuming part for me is going to be making the images for it.
Tell me about it -_- Hate making graphics, and I hate sprites. xD
Same here, but it has to be done somehow
