nice idea, would you mind explaining the intermediate and the expert challenge a bit more?
It is supposed to be vague... your creativity should take over!
for the intermediate you must create a game which has randomly generated obstacles like a boulder or a hole and hazards like spikes or enemies, and a scoring system like time or points, an end goal like an artefact or a finish line, and a menu which obviously has an option to start the game and you could add stuff like an option menu and instructions.
for the expert you need to create a game that is a scroller and involves puzzles that the player has to solve, it also needs a scoring system like time or points, an end goal like a finish line or an exit, a working score board that displays the high scores of players and there has to be more than on level in the game.
tell us when your done! (must be before end of april)
Does 3d count as scrolling?
Well it depends on what kind of 3d.. can you move in this 3d?
What is the target of the challenge? Probably to get the most votes for your game but in which time?
If I understod you right we have to programm a game until the end of april but what time have others got to vote for the scenarios?
I guess I didn't think about that, maybe we could programme a poll and put it up on the site at the start of the next month and people could vote using that. Although I am not sure how to use User Info, but I guess I could give it a try :).
I could also try using your chart demo to make a pie chart showing what others put after they voted.
