Haha! I am currently working on a first person shooter. The dark mode only shows about twenty blocks in each direction, which means the overall world you are traveling through can be quite large without lagging the game. Anyway, It is going to be awesome!

Haha! I have actually thought of doing something like that. Where would the camera be though? Would it be like a first person shooter, or would the player still view the game from above?
everyone(including me) thinks they're doing great with 2d minecraft games, but here you are owning us and making a 3D version, why didn't I think of this, well done :P.
Thanks for the encouragement Gamemaniac. You guys are creating actual, refined games, while all I am doing is making very small demos. However, I do hope to realize a 3d first person shooter with this. I am distracted by school and android right now, summer is only about two months away and when that hits, I'll do way more Greenfoot.
I remember noticing this ages ago, but I can't remember if I ever commented to say that it's awesome :P
If you fall through the floor, it crashes. Managed to make something fun out of that though: http://i.imgur.com/WNkQjCu.png
Wow, this looks really cool. I downloaded it and started playing around with the generation, but I noticed something: There is no render limit. I liked the darkness setting which you get after you press M, but I decided to expand upon it. I added some variables for render distance so it still runs smoothly even after you have large 'maps' loaded. I tried adding block placement, but I've found it's sorta difficult to detect which face you're targeting and add a block there. That and I don't really understand the 3D code itself very much at all, XD. Still, this is a really awesome project, and you should expand upon it.
