What do you mean by radar, something like a mini-map of where all the actors are? It's something that should be perfectly possible and not too difficult, but there's no tutorial around that I know of that specifically addresses it.

Scaling the image by a factor 2 after having set the image can be done with: getImage().scale(getImage().getWidth()*2, getImage().getHeight()*2);

For the future, here's a tip how you can debug this sort of thing. The first question to ask would have been: Is the string you're getting from the card not being assigned correctly, or is it assigned correctly, but it was actually null? To investigate this: If you have the card as an actor visible in the world: Right-click on the card, select "Inspect" and look at the current value of the string field. If the card is not visible on screen (but the player is): Inspect the player in the same way; select the 'playercard' field, and inspect that in turn. Again, check the string. In ge

As above you don't have to put that method in or do anything with it at all. It's just useful if you've got something you want to do to each time that actor is inserted into the world. Not sure if this is relevant here or not, but if you're not sure you've declared the method properly (it won't get called unless the signature matches exactly you can use @Override straight before the method declaration: <Code Omitted> If you use that and you haven't declared the method properly it'll fail at compile ti

Two remarks: First, random numbers start with 0 (not 1). So for your first costume you have to compare to 0. Second, you could save the sequence of if statements by using an array, and using the random number as an index into that array. For example: <Code Omitted>

If your world object knew the actors image ( GreenfootImage myActorImage = new GreenfootImage("filename of actors image"); ) you could say addObject(new myActor(), 0+(myActorImage.getWidth()/2), 0+(myActorImage.getHeight()/2)); to make the actor be added in the top left corner, but this gets even more confusing. Just remember that the objects x,y coordinates are the center point of the image.
