First off i want to know if it is even possible to do. Second I'm dealing with a platform game where you shoot with the mouse, so if it is possible how would i do this and i already have one mouse fully functional.

Of course you can add a second mouse to your computer but this will not bring the result you want it to. If you add a second mouse your still have got only one cursor but the two mice can controll this cursor. So if two people use the two mice at the same time you won't be able to controll the cursor.
Concerning keybords I'm not sure what will happen. If you add a second keybord you can use the two but they'll probably give the same instructions. So you can't have two players playing with two keybords and using the same keys.
Well the first part i knew but i just wanted to see if you could implement to different mouses into the game that would work separately. But I guess not.
