When I type code in the editor (on my laptop) the code turns white. When I continue typing the text comes back and dissapears again and so on... Obviously a pain to work with. Solutions? Thanks

I also got this phenomenon.
Probably you have got a very long text.
Then the editor has to check every time you change the code how it should be shown (the colors).
And because of the very long text it turns white and colored, becuase it takes long to check the code.
But that's just a guess. Maybe the greenfoot team can give you a definit answer.
I have it with long code, but also with a new piece of code that barely has any lines in it. Could've been the reason, but in my case apparently it isn't.

In the menu bar, select Edit>Preferences and change the highlighting to the lightest setting. Hope that helps.
Nope not it. And now I notice Almost everything in the entire program might just suddenly dissapear. The bar to get to preferences was gone until I clicked on it. Then it turned visible. It's not that my text turns white actually, I think (parts of) it's just not displayed, and then it is, and then it isn't. As soon as I do anything (click, type, ...) some things go missing and some come back.
