Try to make something new, otherwise you are defeating the whole purpose. The reason to do these are to challenge yourself to try new things and help you learn more and experiment more with Greenfoot/Java.
If it fits the criteria but is old you won't get disqualified, but you aren't really using these challenges for their intended purpose.
