Best way to send variable information between actors?

What IS the best way to send informaton between actors? I don't know how to call a method from another actor or even ".java" files for that matter. I'm only a freshmen, and I'm VERY good at programming (my legit 100 in computer programming is proof!), but I havent been taught this yet, and it would be very helpful if I knew! I can't seem to understand much when I read from a help page either, so could you please put it simply? Thank you.

Just as a heads up, you might want to not say how you're "VERY good at programming". I'm not trying to be harsh, but other people will be. I used to think I was an amazing programmer (as do many programmers relatively early on in their programming life). Since then, I've improved an insane amount, but now don't think I'm any good. Why? Because early on, it's impossible to grasp quite how large a topic programming is. Like I said, I don't want to come across as mean, but trust me - if you were to fast forward a year, and then looked back on this topic, you'd understand exactly what I mean.

I''ll remember that... Also, I think I'm very good because I'm the head of my class, and I normally figure out what setup I should do to make things work the best that they can early on. Although, I think you might be right... -_-
