These games are so awesome! I wish I would be able to do this, too.
A new version of this scenario was uploaded on Thu Sep 26 20:00:21 UTC 2013 Made speed improvements. Takes a few seconds at start. Included source code, still a bit messy and lacking comments.
A new version of this scenario was uploaded on Fri Sep 27 06:02:21 UTC 2013 Better collision with walls, including at ends. Bug fixes. Code cleaned up. Will be adding comments soon.

Just asking, we're you inspired by my raycasting engine?

It was a combination of wanting to try it and seeing a number of them pop up on the site. I think it was actually a year ago that I first looked at nccb's tutorial. But wasn't until this week that I went back and further experimented, producing what I have here.

On last update I meant wall collision for movement. Such that walls have a distance you can't move within, including at ends.
A new version of this scenario was uploaded on Sun Sep 29 00:22:32 UTC 2013 Added an outside with grass, trees, and stars. Can be seen from windows.
It seems as there's very little privacy in that house. There's windows everywhere!

Bourne, maybe you should add Builderboy's raycasting game to your raycasting colleciton too: http://www.greenfoot.org/scenarios/360 (sorry for saying this here, I just didn't know where else to say it)
Also, if you want the scenario to run faster, you should get rid of the println statements in the world.

@SPower Thanks, I did. @FlyingRabidUnicornPig I wanted to see the difference from my local machine and the gallery without rebooting my computer to my Windows partition to test the scenario, since key releases aren't working for me on scenarios on site. I will make sure it is commented out next time.
