This game creates some very cool patterns. You can zoom in with left click and zoom out with right. Press "r" to re-randomize the setup. It is based on Conway's game of life. It runs on these rules to automate the pixels or "cells":
"Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbors dies, as if caused by under-population.
Any live cell with two or three live neighbors lives on to the next generation.
Any live cell with more than three live neighbors dies, as if by overcrowding.
Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbors becomes a live cell, as if by reproduction."
This version contains 250,000 cells (one for each pixel). You can learn more about the game of life here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway's_Game_of_Life.
