I like that style! (Maybe you can use a background that looks like lined paper -- possibly slightly crumpled -- to increase the look of a pencil and paper drawing...)

Theres no one in my class to make artwork for me anymore... so my codepoint entry might me hand drawn :) And yes... I have some cool ideas for paper but they might not allow me to use images, it'll probably just be white. But we'll see.

A new version of this scenario was uploaded on Wed Oct 13 01:22:21 UTC 2010 ORIGINAL RELEASE: {This took about an hour... scanned the drawings, cut them out in photoshop, and threw some code in there real fast. Clouds sometimes get stuck because there's nothing implemented to make them turn around at the world's edge. Left and right to control character, no jump implemented yet. } I really just wanted to see how possible it was to get my own art into a scenario. UPDATE: Scrolling. Walk out to the tree and back... press up to jump:o UPDATE: Kidney bean with top hat is now a rolling car. Clouds are randomly spread across the world... (up to x = 100,000)

Very nicely done! Just as a small tip though, when the left arrow key is pressed, you should use the getImage().mirrorHorizontally; so that moving left looks as nice as moving right does. Keep up the good work and don't stop drawing!

Nice Scroller! Does your background objects extend the Wanderer helper class?

no. adding a boolean to your worlds constructor toggles scrolling abilities in Greenfoot 2.0.

I have some Fresh Programming homework for you: Making a small scenario that connects to a special file created by the same project and reads a special format ([ARTICLE]/[TEXT] Per line) and prints it onto the screen. Nice tackler, don't you think? I shall give this to other Fresh Programming members to see their responses. Comment on my most recent scenario with the first words saying "Fresh Programming Homework". Good Luck!
