Apothecaries' Weight

This is my third solo game-making project done during a course in Interactive Media at Dundee College, and my first time doing games programming with a hands on approach to developing it (the previous projects were largely done using the "drag & drop" modules in GameMaker Studio.) and writing most of the code myself aside from some help from peers and my lecturer.

The game is a simple and straight-forward Top Down Shooter, in a Zombie Survival Theme. The aim is to survive and gain points by eliminating Zombies and saving Survivors and Squad Mates. You play as a Combat Field Medic who was seperated from the unit and armed only with a pistol.

It was by far the best part of the course and I had a lot of fun learning while making it. Spending a lot of weekends and nights figuring out the intricacies of animation, getting the grenade to function, having to fight with syntax and generally confusing myself over the code language. But all in all, totally worth it. :)

Next step is the HNC in Games Development, but I figured I'd share this project since it is my best work so far and I'm fairly proud of what I achieved given the limited time and knowledge I had.

Please give feedback and suggestions, I had a pretty big list of features I wanted to add but assumed would be to difficult already ;)

Thanks, Euan.
