I solved it, in my world subclass, at the end I had "setLocation" method called for. And I also changed the size of the world. Works great now, thanks for everything you did.

Thanks for the help the velocity = 0 worked. So as soon as the actor touches solid ground they do not move. Thank you!

Overlay (HUD) in Scrolling World

Hey, I´m using danpost ImageScrollWorld (https://www.greenfoot.org/scenarios/19020) to move my Player around . My Problem is that I want tow Actors (e.g. Health & Mana Bar) to be on screen and unaffected by the scrolling. I tried to create a subclass as "Overlay" of the ImageScrollWorld and place my Actors on that but that did not work for me. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Just place the following line in the Health and ManaBar classes: <Code Omitted>To effectively prevent them from being moved.

Add a timer field. Set it to 800 or so when powerup is eaten. Separately, in act, if timer is greater than zero, decrease it and if, upon that, it becomes zero, reset the speed: <Code Omitted>

Just to let you know that Greenfoot 3.5.4 is now released, which hopefully will fix this issue. You can get it from the Downloads section.

HELP MY ERROR: It says Actor not in world. An attempt was made to use the actor's location while it is not in the world. Either it has not yet been inserted, or it has been removed. at greenfoot.Actor.failIfNotInWorld(Actor.java:714)

You can remove ALL return statements in the Trash class. But you also need something in the act method to prevent the calling of hitTrash for the case where getHit has the actor removed from the world.
