Does anyone know where the old tutorial went? I liked it a lot, it explained the getIntersectingObjects() method.

I'm not sure if it's still available (our site design guru might have an answer for that), but getIntersectingObjects() is quite straightforward. If you draw a box around all the objects, then getIntersectingObjects() returns all objects whose box overlaps this object's box.
