Partial Answer to viewing student's Greenfoot Assignments.

I had my students create a zip folder with their assignments/projects. I could open and extract them to a folder through our collaboration software and then view their assignment in Greenfoot. The problem with this is space and the steps it takes to view one assignment for one student. If you have any other ideas, please let me know. Thanks!

If the assignments are all put onto greenfoot, you could have them post it here with the source code, On your account you could follow all the students so that your notified when they change or add code / games. I don't really see a way around the whole space issue though sorry. Hopfully it will take some of the steps out, and with posted source code other students and other members of GreenFoot can view and possibly add suggestions to the coder to improve on their skills. Which I believe is one of the main goals of greenfoot.

dpaehlke, if you're an educator then you might consider signing up to the greenroom website (greenroom.greenfoot.org) and using the discussions there; you will be in contact with others in a similar situation that way.
