Having issues using something similar to a scanner

Hi i am kinda new to greenfoot, i have seen other discussions on things that involve user input but i still am having troubles with it. I am trying to make a text box like object that you can enter in numbers using Greenfoot.isKeyDown and it stores the numbers as a variable kinda like a calculator does where as you enter the numbers it moves the numbers over. I also would like it to print to the screen as you input the numbers. That is the problem i am having is the adding the numbers to the screen. If someone could help me that would be great. Thank you for your time

What have you tried? What code do you have for your text box? and what code do you have for entering in the numbers? and which part are you currently having issues with? is it the "right-adjusting" of the numbers put to the screen? or something else? You mention a text box (which is a visual object on the screen) and printing to the screen. Would they both be the same "printing to the screen"?
