Hey everybody,
I wanted to make a text balloon with text in it if u go to a class in the game.
Any idea how to do this?
Im new to greenfoot so no difficult terms please :P
You do not "go to a class". A class is some code that describes an object (it describes an instance of the class). You might have one Actor object go to some other Actor object within your World object. I am not trying to be difficult; just trying to give you pointers on how to get your problem across without confusion. The word "balloon" is ambiguous as well. I think, now, that you mean "bubble text" -- as if someone says something (like you see in a comic strip). Even though I replaced my previous post here, it is basically what I had written. You would draw the text image onto the "balloon" or "bubble" image; then, assign that image to an actor and add it to the world. This would be done when 'isTouching(<<CLASS>>.class)' becomes true. So as not to continuously create the text balloon actors, you would want to make sure none of those type actors are in the world. So not only is touching some object of some class a condition to show a text balloon object but also no text balloon object in world is another condition.
