Herman, I'm not quite sure what you are asking about, but the only support for scaling in Greenfoot is with the GreenfootImage class. It would probably be better if you post questions like this on http://groups.google.com/group/greenfoot-discuss

This is more like it :-) Now wouldn't it be nice to add some more motion... why don't you make a scrolling background?

Nice and simple! The scrolling reminds me of my assembler period: ROTATE LEFT/RIGHT DIGIT. Wazzup :-)

Likewise! I wrote my first Starfield in assembler. Btw whats all the jazz about Gorg peeking your computer. Only recently they say they do it, but the jokers always did it. Every time an error occurs they make an error logfile with information from your computer. Wazzup :-)

Hi all... can anyone hand out the path to the greenfoot.properties file?

Check you "about greenfoot" dialog - the greenfoot.properties file is in the same location as the greenfoot-debuglog.txt file.

By the way, it's possible for the inner part of the wheel (the coloured bit) to get separated from the bike. Move back and forwards enough times and you'll see it happen. Probably you're making all parts react to key presses in the same way? However the key might be released between one actor's act() method and the next actor's. Also, the wheels don't turn at all when the bike is rolling along, which is a bit disconcerting :)

Hi guys, hope you can help me. I'm trying to reference the world from an Other class with: uWorld u = (uWorld) getWorld(); But I receive a message: cannot find symbol - method getWorld(). What can I do to reference the world from an Other class? Thanks in advantage!
KartoffelbrotKartoffelbrot

2013/7/12

Maybe you wrote this not into an actor class. Only the Actor class and its subclasses can use the actor methods.
dothebonedothebone

2013/7/12

Agree Kartoffelbrot, but what can I do to reference the world from another class then an Actor or a World class?
KartoffelbrotKartoffelbrot

2013/7/12

Therefore an Actor has to be in the world. You can create a new Actor, but then I have no idea how to put him into the world to get the World.

2013/7/12

'Other' classes are not able to reference the world unless you pass the world (or an actor that is in that world) into it. This can be done when you create an object of that class (in the constructor of that class) or when calling a method on an object of that class.

Thanks danpost, I got it allright.
