Speed Reading

Inspired by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fijc70yz4w

THIS WILL NOT WORK FROM THE GALLERY
It will read the text on your clipboard when you first run it.
Just paste in text that you want to read and it will flash one word at a time onto the screen.
Press 'n' to enter new text if you don't want to refresh the page.

If you want to view this applet in your web browser I've put it up here: http://eriksjavafiles.webs.com/speed-reading

Umm... If anyone has any idea why pasting into the input dialog doesn't work from an applet, please tell me. It allows pasting offline.
A new version of this scenario was uploaded on Fri Nov 02 04:07:45 UTC 2012 Now retrieves data directly from the clipboard instead. May not work in Gallery.

Reading directly from the clipboard isn't working in the gallery either, hmm...

Ah splendid, I need a signed applet to access the clipboard. If anyone wants to take a look just open up the source

Watched the video and figured it out! Cool, though, you are doing it line by line instead of word for word. Thanks for the video, I will probably try this with some of my school work.

The scenario should be word by word, it separates the strings at each space. But yeah, give it a shot, I read over a plot synopsis for a book to review it and it worked quite well.

I figured it out. It was reading some code I copied, and I don't use a lot of spaces. That would explain it. Anyway, awesome!
