Instructions:
For now you can do whatever you want, But to chop trees you need an axe (You will always start near one)
Just press E to pick it up

Controls:

Q - toggle items
WASD - Move

Nice love it! It doesn't tell my score when I die though.... As for adding features make a real purpose to the game like beating a boss or something instead of getting frustrated about the many dead ends in the maze! :D

Looks like a good start, the item menu isn't very intuitive. I tend to only be able to accidentally open or close it, and while its open I'm not sure what it means when the items move to the left edge and come back to the center, or how to control this action.
