Cycles of Eternity

Stage 1 begins outside of the Wheel of Life, in a dark, mysterious landscape that reflects the spirit's initial state of ignorance. The player uses the arrow keys to interact with objects and control the character in the wheel (a ghost/spirit). As they explore, the player encounters a broken Phaistos Disk and they will have to collect the fragments to “crack the code” which leads them to stage two. The spirit's energy decreases if it takes too long to piece the Disk together, resulting in a “game over”. In stage 2, the player enters the inner Wheel of Life, a serene cloud filled environment, where the Eight Immortals and Lotus Flower lie. The player continues to use the arrow keys as they wander and come across each of the hidden Eight Immortals, having to reveal them from behind the clouds. After they successfully do this, they will unleash the Lotus and reach their spiritual awakening and transformation. This results in them winning the game, which is displayed by a bright “burst of energy” and a victory message. If they fail to find each Immortal, they will lose the game and remain trapped in the cycle.
