Coffee Road

Coffee Road is based on the game Crossy Road in which the player will cross the streets to collect coffee beans in order to make coffee for patiently-waiting customers. The streets, however, are full of dangerous angry customers and spitting Karens. As time goes on, the angry customers get more agitated meaning they become faster and come around (spawn) more frequently.

At the start, the player can pick between two movement settings: bounce and run. Bounce makes your character move during singular keystrokes by 50 pixels while run makes your character move while the keystrokes are pressed, 5 pixels at a time. The three game modes are 10, 20, and 30 serves, where serves represent the number of customers you have served (each serving of coffee requires 5 coffee beans). The four power ups (ghost, lightning, magnet, and double) help you collect coffee beans and last for 10 seconds. Ghost makes you invincible, lightning cuts the enemies’ speed down by ½, magnet automatically collects coffee beans within a 100 pixel radius from the player’s center (across the street), and double means you pick up two beans each time you go to collect a singular bean. At the bottom right of the screen, along with a bean and served counter, the symbol indicators start flashing when there are 3 seconds left in a specific powerup.

Three new beans spawn in every three seconds. Collect the beans quickly though because after 20 seconds, the bean becomes rotten (if bounce mode: picking up the bean adds 0, if run mode: you move half the distance you usually do for 5 seconds). With the beans you collect, you can either deliver coffee to customers or buy things from the shop (refill your health or make power ups spawn more frequently). If you lose, you can try again in the same game mode or exit and try a different game mode. If you win, you can move onto the next hardest game mode. After 30 serves, there is an optional endless game mode where the rounds get harder and harder over time until the player dies.

Still working on some bugs! (Not sure why the music doesn't stop running, sometimes the game crashes when there are too many beans)
