CHESS:

Learn to play Chess, or play games.

Click on a piece that can move -- it gets a border to signify you clicked on it; also, any square it can legally move gets a goldborder. Click on a different piece and it gets the clicked-on border and squares it can legally move to get gold borders. Click on a square with a gold border and the piece previously clicked on moves there. When a pawn reaches the other end of the board, it will change to a queen and a menu will appear to select the type of piece to promote to.

Defend your king (the one with the 'x' on its crown) -- lose your king = lose your game.

KAPTURE-CHESS:

Learn to play Kapture-Chess and play games.

Every move must capture an opponent's piece. Don't be the first person to run out of captures, or you lose.
(A king capture is not loss of games as in regular chess).

Click on a piece that can move -- it gets a border to signify you clicked on it; also, any square it can legally move gets a gold border. Click on a different piece and it gets the clicked-on border and squares it can legally move to get gold borders. Click on a square with a gold border and the piece previously clicked on moves there.
